Musée de l'Orangerie

The Musée de l'Orangerie is a museum of impressionist and post-impressionist paintings located in the Tuileries Gardens in the 1st arrondissement. It was inaugurated in 1927. 

The famous cycle of Water Lilies by Monet is exhibited at the Musée de l'Orangerie. It consists of 8 huge paintings covering the walls of two oval rooms. You can also see works by Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, Picasso and Modigliani. 

It is a small museum but full of charm and whose exhibitions are always qualitative. Visiting it is also an opportunity to walk along the renowned rue de Rivoli and in the Tuileries garden.
