The Eiffel Tower

Located in the 7th arrondissement on the banks of the Seine, the Eiffel Tower is the symbol of the French capital.

It was built by Gustave Eiffel on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1889. It rises to 324 meters and has three floors.

A first possibility is simply to admire the great Dame de fer (Iron Lady) from below. You can take a walk along the Seine right next to it, or have a picnic on the Champ de Mars

If you are not afraid of heights, you can also buy a ticket to go up to the second or top floor of the Eiffel Tower. Elevators take visitors to the top but the bravest will choose the stairs! The view from the top is breathtaking.

Personally, my favorite time to go see the Eiffel Tower is in the evening. As soon as the night falls, it sparkles every hour during 5 minutes. The show is magical, you never get tired of it.
